Telva Event 27/10/2025 Menopause triumphs, concentrating the attention it deserves at the TELVA Beauty and Wellness Conference held in Barcelona
To open the event, model Guiomar Alfaro, author of *The Luxury of Being Yourself*, took to the stage to demonstrate that menopause doesn't have to be a dark period in a woman's life. "I was completely lost during menopause and decided to find that spark to recapture the joy I had lost, because I was very sad many days." At 50, Guiomar Alfaro, a language school teacher, decided to return to modeling, which she had put aside decades earlier to be a mother of two. "Girls, we have to believe in ourselves and give ourselves the luxury of being ourselves. That's what has made me happy, because finding that spark in fashion was just one step towards giving myself the luxury of being who I am," she told the audience.
